Lahore: Pakistan has reported 46 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and positive cases have surged to 541,031. Last Friday, the nationwide death toll jumped to 11,560.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,644 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Till now 244,340 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 156,404 in Punjab, 66,451 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,798 in Balochistan, 41,176 in Islamabad, 8,953 in Azad Kashmir and 4,909 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 4,681 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 3,969 in Sindh, 1,879 in KP, 194 in Balochistan, 476 in Islamabad, 259 in Azad Kashmir and 102 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,848,316 coronavirus tests and 43,381 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 496,745 coronavirus patients, while 2,133 patients are in critical condition.
