Pakistan reports 2,580 coronavirus cases, 71 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan reports 43 deaths from COVID-19, lowest in 8 weeks


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 921,053, Pakistan has reported 43 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Monday, the nationwide death toll jumped to 20,779.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 2117 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Provincial details

In terms of death toll and cases, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 9,999 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,020 in Sindh, 4,073 in KP, 760 in Islamabad, 543 in Azad Kashmir, 277 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 339,686 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 317,665 in Sindh, 132,549 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,195 in Islamabad, 25,148 in Balochistan, 19,232 in Azad Kashmir and 5,578 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has performed 13,221,581 coronavirus tests and 52,223 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 841,241 patients and 3,947 patients are in critical condition.
