Pakistan reports 3,909 coronavirus cases, 69 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,152,481, Pakistan has reported 69 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Sunday, the death toll across the country jumped to 25,604.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 3,909 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,799 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,812 in Sindh, 4,927 in KP, 861 in Islamabad, 694 in Azad Kashmir, 338 in Balochistan, and 173 in GB.

Furthermore 429,422 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 389,688 in Punjab, 160,759 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 98,739 in Islamabad, 32,157 in Balochistan, 31,861 in Azad Kashmir and 9,855 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 17,647,941 coronavirus tests and 62,918 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,033,373 patients and 5,639 patients are in critical condition.
