LAHORE: Pakistan has reported 44 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 626,802. On Sunday, the death toll across the country jumped to 13,843.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 3,667 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
In terms of cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 263,058 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 197,177 in Punjab 79,245 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 51,414 in Islamabad, 19,327 in Balochistan, 11,609 in Azad Kashmir and 4,972 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 5,974 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,479 in Sindh, 2,208 in KP, 543 in Islamabad, 333 in Azad Kashmir, 203 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 9,773,993 coronavirus tests and 41,960 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 581,852 coronavirus patients, while 2,900 patients are in critical condition.
