Pakistan reports 43 deaths from COVID-19, lowest in 8 weeks

Pakistan reports 3,265 coronavirus cases, 126 deaths in 24 hours


LAHORE: Pakistan has reported 126 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 870,703. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 19,336 on Thursday.

According to the latest data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 3,265 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Provincial details

In terms of the number of deaths and the number of cases, Punjab is still the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

323,314 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 295,483 in Sindh, 125,914in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 78,725 in Islamabad, 23,728 in Balochistan, 18,129 in Azad Kashmir and 5,410 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 12,349,976 coronavirus tests and 39,101 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 776,315 patients and 4,567 patients in critical condition.
