Lahore: Pakistan has reported 74 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 880,362. On Monday, the death toll across the country jumped to 19,617.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 3,232 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
In terms of the number of deaths and the number of cases, Punjab is still the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 9,411 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,801 in Sindh, 3,786 in KP, 731 in Islamabad, 514 in Azad Kashmir, 267 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.
Furthermore 327,362 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 299,194 in Sindh, 127,038 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 79,221 in Islamabad, 23,866 in Balochistan, 18,258 in Azad Kashmir and 5,423 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 12,480,767 coronavirus tests and 36,725 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 792,522 patients, compared with 4,443 patients in critical conditions.
