LAHORE: Pakistan has reported 57 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 903,599. The death toll across the country jumped to 20,308 on Monday.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 3,060 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
In terms of the number of deaths and the number of cases, Punjab is still the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 9,784 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,920 in Sindh, 3,950 in KP, 745 in Islamabad, 532 in Azad Kashmir, 270 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.
Furthermore 334,760 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 309,647 in Sindh, 129,883 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 80,418 in Islamabad, 24,583 in Balochistan, 18,808 in Azad Kashmir and 5,500 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 12,837,818 coronavirus tests and 58,670 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 820,374 patients and 4,763 patients in critical condition.
