LAHORE : Pakistan has reported 29 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 607,453. On Monday, the death toll across the country jumped to 13,537.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 2,253 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
In terms of cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 261,411 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 186,659 in Punjab 76,104 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 48,081 in Islamabad, 19,220 in Balochistan, 11,017 in Azad Kashmir and 4,961 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 5,769 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,458 in Sindh, 2,159 in KP, 526 in Islamabad, 320 in Azad Kashmir, 202 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
Test and restore
Pakistan has so far conducted 9,529,763 coronavirus tests and 44,061 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 571,878 coronavirus patients, while 1,823 patients are in critical condition.
