Pakistan reports 2,145 coronavirus cases, 37 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan reports 27 deaths from COVID-19, lowest since April


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 947,218, Pakistan has reported 27 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 21,940 on Saturday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 991 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

In terms of death toll and cases, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,615 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,314 in Sindh, 4,257 in KP, 775 in Islamabad, 571 in Azad Kashmir, 300 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.

Furthermore 344,799 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 331,094 in Sindh, 136,819 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,313 in Islamabad, 26,529 in Balochistan, 19,893 in Azad Kashmir and 5,771 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 14,072,605 coronavirus tests and 46,269 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 889,787 patients and 2,296 patients are in critical condition.
