Lahore: Pakistan has reported 76 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 877,130. On Sunday, the death toll across the country jumped to 19,543.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), in the past 24 hours, 2,379 people have tested positive for COVID-19.
In terms of the number of deaths and the number of cases, Punjab is still the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 9,367 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,794 in Sindh, 3,766 in KP, 731 in Islamabad, 514 in Azad Kashmir, 264 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.
Furthermore 325,662 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 298,078 in Sindh, 126,787 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 79,123 in Islamabad, 23,831 in Balochistan, 18,231 in Azad Kashmir and 5,418 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 12,444,042 coronavirus tests and 30,402 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 788,768 patients and 4,376 patients in critical condition.
