Pakistan reports 1,771 coronavirus cases, 71 deaths in 24 hours

Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 922,824, Pakistan has reported 71 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Tuesday, the national death toll jumped to 20,850.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,771 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of the number of deaths and the number of cases, Punjab is still the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,039 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,039 in Sindh, 4,079 in KP, 762 in Islamabad, 544 in Azad Kashmir, 280 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 340,110 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 318,579 in Sindh, 132,822 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,257 in Islamabad, 25,218 in Balochistan, 19,250 in Azad Kashmir and 5,588 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 13,269,214 coronavirus tests and 47,633 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 844,638 patients, while 3,842 patients are in critical condition.
