Pakistan reports 1,490 COVID-19 cases, lowest in 3 months

Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 933,630, Pakistan has reported 58 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Monday, the national death toll jumped to 21,323.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,490 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll and cases, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,314 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,136 in Sindh, 4,158 in KP, 765 in Islamabad, 554 in Azad Kashmir, 289 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 342,498 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 323,828 in Sindh, 134,558 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,766 in Islamabad, 25,819 in Balochistan, 19,519 in Azad Kashmir and 5,642 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has carried out 13,572,884 coronavirus tests and 49,285 tests have been carried out in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 864,931 patients, while 3,205 patients are in critical condition.
