Pakistan reports 1,383 COVID-19 cases, lowest in over 3 months


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 935,013, Pakistan has reported 53 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Tuesday, the national death toll jumped to 21,376.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,383 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll and cases, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,349 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,144 in Sindh, 4,164 in KP, 766 in Islamabad, 556 in Azad Kashmir, 290 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 342,805 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 324,535 in Sindh, 134,781 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,806 in Islamabad, 25,893 in Balochistan, 19,538 in Azad Kashmir and 5,655 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 13,619,766 coronavirus tests and 46,882 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 867,447 patients, while 3,196 patients are in critical condition.
