Karachi Coronavirus positivity ratio exceeds 26pc

Pakistan reports 1,239 coronavirus cases, 56 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 941,170, Pakistan has reported 56 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Sunday, the national death toll jumped to 21,689.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,239 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll and cases, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,501 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,236 in Sindh, 4,216 in KP, 771 in Islamabad, 563 in Azad Kashmir, 294 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.

Furthermore 343,926 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 327,604 in Sindh, 135,877in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,099 in Islamabad, 26,201 in Balochistan, 19,756 in Azad Kashmir and 5,707 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 13,818,036 coronavirus tests and 36,368 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 877,191 patients, while 2,661 patients are in critical condition.
