Pakistan reports 1,194 coronavirus cases, 57 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 939,931, Pakistan has reported 57 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 21,633 on Saturday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,194 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll and cases, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,479 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,220 in Sindh, 4,203 in KP, 769 in Islamabad, 562 in Azad Kashmir, 292 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.

Furthermore 343,703 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 327,021 in Sindh, 135,569 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,065 in Islamabad, 26,152 in Balochistan, 19,723 in Azad Kashmir and 5,698 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 13,781,668 coronavirus tests and 35,695 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 875,581 patients, while 2,760 patients are in critical condition.
