Pakistan reports 1,118 coronavirus cases, 77 deaths in 24 hours

Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 936,131, Pakistan has reported 77 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Wednesday, the national death toll jumped to 21,453.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,118 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll and cases, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,397 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,164 in Sindh, 4,170 in KP, 766 in Islamabad, 558 in Azad Kashmir, 291 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 343,031 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 325,110 in Sindh, 134,928 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,871 in Islamabad, 25,961 in Balochistan, 19,566 in Azad Kashmir and 5,664 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 13,663,666 coronavirus tests and 43,900 in the last 24 hours. 869,691 patients have recovered in the country whereas 3,024 patients are in critical condition.
