Pakistan reports 1,038 coronavirus cases, 46 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 944,065, Pakistan has reported 46 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 21,828 on Wednesday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,038 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll and cases, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,567 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,273 in Sindh, 4,240 in KP, 773 in Islamabad, 570 in Azad Kashmir, 297 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.

Furthermore 344,379 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 329,279 in Sindh, 136,313 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,207 in Islamabad, 26,331 in Balochistan, 19,822 in Azad Kashmir and 5,734 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 13,934,493 coronavirus tests and 42,113 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 882,332 patients, while 2,490 patients are in critical condition.
