Pakistan register highest single day hike with 3039 new coronavirus cases, 88 deaths

Lahore: Pakistan confirmed 88 more deaths from novel coronavirus in one day as the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 1,483 and positive cases surged to 69,496.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 3,039 people have tested positive for COVID-19 within 24 hours.

Provincial details

Sindh remains the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

So far, Sindh has confirmed 27,360 coronavirus cases, Punjab province has confirmed 25,056 cases, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province 9,540 cases, Balluchi province 4,193 cases, Islamabad 2,418 cases, Gilgit-Bal 678 cases of Stan and 251 cases of Azad Kashmir.

In addition, 453 people died in the KP epidemic, 475 in Punjab, 465 in Sind, 46 in Balochistan, 27 in Islamabad and 11 in GB.

The quarantine centers of 462 hospitals are providing treatment for patients, where 7,295 beds can be provided.

Testing and recovery

Pakistan has conducted 547,030 coronavirus tests and 14,972 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 25,271 coronavirus patients, but many patients are in critical condition.
