Pakistan reports 2,357 coronavirus cases, 58 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan passes grim milestone of 24,000 deaths from Covid-19


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,075,504, Pakistan has reported 86 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Tuesday, the national death toll jumped to 24,004.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 3,884 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,239 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,235 in Sindh, 4,570 in KP, 821 in Islamabad, 650 in Azad Kashmir, 332 in Balochistan, and 157 in GB.

Furthermore 401,790 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 365,824 in Punjab, 149,056 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 91,217 in Islamabad, 31,234 in Balochistan, 27,507 in Azad Kashmir and 8,876 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has performed 16,551,440 coronavirus tests and 49,506 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 967,073 patients and 4,530 patients are in critical condition.
