Pakistan reports 135 deaths from COVID-19, highest in over 9 months

Pakistan passes grim milestone of 13,000 coronavirus deaths


Lahore: Pakistan has reported 75 new coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 583,916. On Wednesday, the nationwide death toll jumped to 13013.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,388 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Provincial details

In terms of cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 258,679 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 173,395 in Punjab 72,801 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44,690 in Islamabad, 19,076 in Balochistan, 10,319 in Azad Kashmir and 4,956 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 5,441 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,372 in Sindh, 2,091 in KP, 501 in Islamabad, 306 in Azad Kashmir, 200 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.

Pakistan has so far conducted 9,055,069 coronavirus tests and 32,945 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 554,225 coronavirus patients, while 1,561 patients are in critical condition.
