Pak Army to continue assisting govt in fighting against COVID-19: COAS

Rawalpindi: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa reiterated Thursday the Pakistan Army ’s commitment to continue to assist other agencies in fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a statement issued by the Intersectoral Public Relations (ISPR), COAS visited Kohat. He arrived at CMH, where he reviewed the arrangement of the corona center.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lieutenant General Noman Mahmood, welcomed General Javed Bajwa of Qamar. The Army Chief of Staff visited Yadgar-e-Shuhahada, who gave his life and laid a wreath to defend the motherland.

He interacted with the troops busy fighting COVID-19’s rescue operations and urged them to lend a helping hand, especially those affected by the pandemic, to provide them with comfort during this difficult time.

Upon arrival, General Qamar Javed Bajwa was given detailed briefing on operational preparedness, prevailing security situation including border security measures along Pak- Afghan border, and update on army s assistance against COVID-19 in the area.
