Open hearing of foreign funding case: Marriyum Aurangzeb terms PM claim as false


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday termed Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement for open hearing of the foreign funding case of all political parties as false

Releasing a copy of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) petition filed in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Marriyum Aurangzeb said, “there is written evidence of your false claim”.

On Wednesday, Turkish Prime Minister Emran Khan called for public hearings on foreign funding cases by all parties, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and the People of Pakistan To clarify this issue, the Party (PPP) Jamiat-e-UIema Islam-F (JUI-F)

“I ask for open hearing or even on live television of the foreign funding case with all parties, including JUI-F of Fazlur Rehman, PPP, PML-N and PTI sitting there…,” he said while talking to media persons here at the Cadet College Wana.

The Prime Minister said the PTI was the pioneer of political fund-raising campaigns and had all the records of fund donations, including the names of 40,000 people.

He regretted how the funds collected from those who supervised Pakistan were described as foreign funds, and Pakistani remittances played an important role in the management of the country.

The prime minister said he thanked the opposition for raising the issue of foreign funding because it will help clear the situation and the country will know the reality of how to raise funds.
