While trying to bring PPP and ANP back into the scope of PDM, the opposition leader of the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif stated on Friday that no one party has the right to kick the other from the alliance.
The PML-N president was addressing a press conference in Islamabad alongside PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman after the two met today ahead of tomorrow’s much-awaited meeting of the alliance.
“No one party has the right to bring or kick another party out. PDM is a forum and decisions are taken with consensus,” said Shahbaz when asked about the PPP and ANP. He also explained to reporters that when the consultations are completed and a decision is taken then the president of the alliance announces the future course of action.
When the reporter pressured President PML-N on the position of the two parties to return, he clarified that he had no “personal opinion” and that what he said was always the “opinion” of the party.
The former Punjab CM also shared the agenda of tomorrow’s PDM meeting with the media. He said that the meeting chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman will discuss the political situation in the country.
Shahbaz said the alliance will also discuss the budget proposed by the government next month and the situation in Afghanistan.
