Islamabad: The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on Wednesday expressed serious concerns about the return of the country’s global epidemic.

The meeting chaired by Federal Planning Minister Asad Umar reviewed the increase in coronavirus cases. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also participated in the meeting via video connection.

NCOC also noticed violations of SOPs by various departments in order to ensure the implementation of SOPs. The meeting also issued guidelines on Eidul Adha.

The meeting was informed that due to the worrying situation of the coronavirus in Afghanistan, the western border has been closed since June 18. At the same time, concessions were made to Pakistani and Afghan nationals who were stranded on both sides during the shutdown.

A person familiar with the Minister of Health said Gilgit had the highest Covid positive rate of 27.03%, while Jhelum and Swabi had zero positive rates, and 22 districts in these four provinces are important in terms of coronavirus. .

The daily COVID-19 positive case rate in Muzaffarabad is 13.79%, Karachi is 11.50%, the federal capital Islamabad is 5.40%, Peshawar is 5.19%, Multan is 4.35%, Nocera is 4.21%, Kui Up to 4.1%, Rawalpindi 2.48%, Hyderabad 1.84%, Kashmirpur 1.49%, and Lahore 1.09%.

The average daily positive rate in 10 districts is less than 1%. Abbottabad, Charsadda, Mardan, Swat, Swabi, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujarat and Jhelum have less than 1% of positive corona cases.
