Islamabad: Representatives of the federal government submitted a report on Tuesday concerning the execution of the arrest warrants of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supreme and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by the Islamabad High Court.
While listening to Al-Azizia’s recommendation letter, a federal lawyer told him that his former son, Hassan Nawaz, had received an arrest warrant from the former prime minister in his London residence. He was informed that the pass was sent to Nawaz’s home by the British High Commission in Pakistan.
Prior to this, IHC had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Nawaz Sharif on September 22 and rejected his request for exemption from the hearing.
The court also instructed the relevant authorities to file a lawsuit and declare him the convicted criminal. IHC also rejected PML-N supremo’s petition to continue the case through legal representatives.
