Islamabad: The National Assembly meeting will be held today (Friday) after a two-day break. The Secretariat of the National Assembly has released an 18-point agenda for today’s meeting, which will start at the Parliament Building at 11:00 am.
The source said that the notice of not paying unpaid technical allowances/engineering allowances to registered engineers working in the federal government is part of the agenda.
In addition to drawing attention to the Indian atrocities in Jam and Kashmir (IIOJK) illegally occupied by India, two amendments to the Higher Education Commission will also become part of the House of Representatives proceedings.
The Minister of Human Rights, Dr. Shireen Mazari, will introduce a bill to promote, protect and effectively ensure the independence, impartiality, security and freedom of expression of journalists and media professionals [Protection of Journalists and Media Professionals in 2021 Bill].
During today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, the Minister of Finance and Revenue will further introduce a bill to amend the 2005 Fiscal Liability and Debt Limitation Act (“Fiscal Liability and Debt Limitation (Amendment) Bill 2021”).
The source also said that the 2020 Pakistan Weapons (Amendment) Bill will be submitted for approval in the House of Representatives.
