Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday has said that during 2018-2020, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recovered Rs 484 billion in contrast to only Rs 290 billion recovered during 1999-2017.
The prime minister wrote in a series of posts on the social networking platform Twitter that results can be achieved when the government does not protect criminals and allows accountability without interference.
From the results achieved so far, it is obvious that there is a 10-year difference between the Punjab Anti-corruption Department during the PTI government and the Pakistani Nawaz Muslim League (PML-N) for 10 years. He added that in the last 31 months of our government in Punjab, the anti-corruption department has recovered Rs 220 crore, which is in stark contrast to the bleak 10-year record of the PML-N government.
In the 10 years of PML-N, the value of state-owned land recovered was 192 billion rupees, while the value of state-owned land was 2.6 billion rupees. The cash recovery is Rs 2.35 billion, while PML-N has only Rs 430 million in 10 years. He said that the current indirect cash collection is 26 billion rupees, which has been zero in the past ten years of PML-N.
