Karachi: Accountability court in Islamabad on Friday has written a letter to registrar at Karachi branch for indictment of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari in Thatta water supply reference on August 4.
According to the details, on the day of the indictment, an instruction has been issued to appoint a judicial representative to appraise Asif Zardari.
The Islamabad Court further ordered the arrangement of video link procedures for the former president and 13 other defendants. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi also assumed all responsibility for ensuring that Zardari appeared in court on August 4.
In December 2019, former President Asif Ali Zardari was released on medical grounds, after a responsible court in Islamabad issued a separate robbery [mandamuses] at Parker Lane Real Estate Company and passed He was laundered with a fake bank account.
In the latest case center, Zardari was accused of laundering large sums of money through suspicious bank accounts and the company.
NAB is investigating in accordance with the Supreme Court’s ruling on the case of multi-billion-dollar money laundering through false accounts. In this case, NAB forwarded the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report and provided instructions for investigation and filing.
Zardari has repeatedly rejected allegations of his involvement in the plan. Zardari, who was imprisoned for 11 years because of corruption, has never been welcomed and is always controversial. He resigned from the president’s office in 2013. But he continued to serve as the co-chair of the opposition PPP.
