Lahore: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) ended Wednesday’s campaign against Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Chowdhury Shuyat Hussein and Chowdhury Pervez Ella All the inquiries from Xi lasted 20 years.
According to the details, the two seats led by judge Sadaqat Ali conducted a hearing on the defense of the Chowdhury brothers, challenging the authority of the chairman of the National Bank.
During the proceedings, the anti-corruption watchdog prosecutor has told the Lahore High Court (LHC) that all the inquiries against the Chaudhry brothers have been dismissed.
Meanwhile, the court has also disposed of the pleas of Chaudhry brothers for being ineffective.
Earlier, NAB had submitted details of the assets of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi in LHC.
The National Bank stated that the Speaker of the Punjab State did not even own 100 rupees in 1985. He joined politics after borrowing 7.5 rupees and now has a net worth of 6.5 billion rupees, while the value of Chowdhury Shuyat Hussein’s assets 25 billion rupees.
Judge Shehram Sarwar said in his speech that the investigation of the Chowdhury brothers did not appear to have been interrupted for seventeen years.
The Chowdhury brothers insisted in the petition: “NAB participated in the political project. It conducted a comprehensive investigation 20 years ago, but it was still unsuccessful. The NAB chairman has no right to restart the completed investigation. We belong to a political family. , Is being victimized.”
