LAHORE: Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar is no longer the spokesperson for PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He announced his resignation on Saturday.
However, Hawkehal clarified that he had resigned from the post of spokesperson as PPP chairman, not from the party.
In a tweet, he expressed continued support for Bilawal.
“Will stand by BBZ through thick and thin. In my years as his spokesperson, have given counsel with honesty, sincerity and in the best interests of the country and the party,” Khokhar wrote.
The PPP media team earlier denied the rumors of his resignation.
According to sources close to Senator Hawkhal, he disagreed with the leaders of the Supreme Party on certain issues, so he resigned.
