Islamabad News: Scotland Yard officials presented important evidence on Monday about the murder of Imran Faruk, leader of theMuttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in a counter-terrorism court.
During the hearing, investigators introduced the CCTV footage of the incident, a brick, two sharp weapons, and a diagram of the crime scene in court.
It should be mentioned here that Khalid Shamim, Moazzam Ali and Mohsin Ali have been designated as suspects in this case.
MQM leader Dr. Imran Farooq was killed in a knife attack in Edgwar on 16 September 2009 by an unknown man.
Khalid Shamin, the prime suspect in the murder of Dr. Farooq, in a statement to Pakistani law enforcement officials, stated that the party founder instructed him to kill Farooq during a phone call to a Karachi party worker.
Farooq applied for asylum in the UK in 1999 and was sought in Pakistan for various charges such as torture and murder, but has consistently claimed that the charges were politically motivated.
