MQM has divided into two parts: Farooq Sattar

Karachi: Farooq Sattar, a former leader of the Muttahida Qaumi movement in Pakistan (MQM-P), said on Saturday that the party was divided into two parts.

Farooq Sattar said in the media outside the counter-terrorism court that there is not only a division within the party, but that it is now a lesson for other parties. He added: “MQM is now saved on paper, nothing else.”

He said that MQM (Hyderabad) put pressure on MQM (Karachi) to resign Khalid Maqbool so that others could take over the office of the ministry. He added: “Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui is being sacrificed to the goat and he must resign from the party leadership.”

Former MQM-P leaders stated that Justice Minister Faro should decide whether he is affiliated with MQM and, if so, submit his resignation.
