Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Mariam Nawaz called the PP-38 Sialkot by-election an “option” on Thursday.
In a post on the social networking site Twitter, the PML-N leader stated that the reality will be revealed in the next general election. She added that a government that gets bad wishes from the people will never get their support.
Maryam Nawaz further stated that PML-N has high hopes that the vote will be respected.
The reaction came after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Chaudhry Ahsan Saleem Baryar won the by-election of PP-38 Sialkot with a margin of 7,117 votes, as per unofficial and unconfirmed count.
PTI’s Chaudhry Ahsan Saleem Baryar topped the list with 60,588 votes, while the PML-N candidate ranked second with 53,471 votes.
