‘Making Nawaz Sharif’s departure abroad conditional is unconstitutional’

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has on Wednesday said it is unconstitutional and illegal to make former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s departure abroad – for medical treatment – conditional.

The PML-N leader maintains that the government is playing a dangerous game with the health of Nawaz Sharif because the former prime minister has twice taken a high dose of steroid.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that because his health is very critical, it is extremely dangerous to bring large doses of steroids to Nawaz Sharif again.

She said that despite the fact that all legal requirements have been met, the government is still unaware of the most important health conditions of the top leaders of PML-N. She also urged the government not to create obstacles to the treatment of the former prime minister.
