Dubai: Earlier this week, an official told Youm7 newspaper that Mahmoud Jibril, president of the Libyan National Army Alliance, had been isolated in Egypt after discovering a positive corona virus.

Jibril’s health condition is stable and is currently staying in a hospital in Cairo, the official added.

Egypt reported 41 new cases of coronavirus and 6 deaths on Friday, bringing the total number of infected patients to 536 and the death toll to 30.

The Egyptian government has taken precautions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country, including suspension of international flights in mid-April, closure of schools and universities, restaurants, nightlife and shopping centers.
