Karachi: The Karachi government has sealed off several wedding halls, shops and supermarkets, fined and issued warnings for violations of standard operating procedures (SOP) for the coronavirus.
According to the Karachi Commissioner, a warning was issued to seven wedding halls on Wednesday and one of them was fined 400,000 rupees. He said that seven restaurants were fined a total of 495,000 rupees, 39 restaurants were given warnings, and eight were sealed.
The commissioner also told us that 13 supermarkets, shops and medical shops were blocked, and 4 were fined with a total of 700,000 rupees. The government also warned five educational institutions.
Thirteen people were fined for not wearing masks and 15 people were warned. The management collected a fine of 35,500 rupees from 11 people, including 500 rupees each. Received 20,000 rupees and 10,000 rupees from nimko and surgical shops respectively.
