Karachi rain inundates SHC building

Karachi: The Sindh High Court (SHC) building has also been affected by the ongoing monsoon rain in Karachi as the court’s compound has been inundated.

SHC Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M. Shaikh noticed this situation and ordered the rainwater to be drained from the premises.

What I want to mention here is that the heavy downpours in Karachi caused urban flooding in various parts of the big city, and the accumulation of rain on roads and all low-lying areas caused traffic interruptions and worsened the situation.

After the heavy rains, as the Lath and Thado dams flooded in the Kirthar area, the Pakistani army rushed there to help the civilians. According to a statement issued by the Interdepartmental Public Relations (ISPR), with the Lath Dam overflowing, severe flooding occurred near the Northern Bypass and the Marial River.
