Dubai: At the end of the 48-hour curfew, dozens of medical teams continued to conduct random coronavirus examinations on hospital visitors and people at home in Jordan on Saturday.
According to local media “The Jordan Times”, more than 1,000 tests are expected in all Jordan provinces. The medical team used rapid testing equipment and PCR (polymerase chain reaction) in authorized laboratories.
Adnan Ishaq, Deputy Secretary General for Health Affairs of the Ministry of Health, ensured the quality of the test equipment, which delivered results in less than 15 minutes, adding that the equipment came from Germany and China.
People who have been in contact with COVID-19 patients in the past 14 days have also been tested.
At the time of the effort, Jordan had registered 9 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 381. These cases included 7 members of a human family who had previously confirmed the virus. The eighth case was the man’s colleague.
A ninth case was found in the isolated Markab area.
