Lahore: A major breakthrough has been achieved in the ongoing investigation into the bombing in Jowhar town. Law enforcement agencies have arrested the owners of the vehicles used in the bombing.
According to details, the owner is foreign national named Peterson David and was offload from a Karachi-bound flight at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
He has been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Earlier, it was revealed that the car which was allegedly used in Johar Town blast entered Lahore from Babu Sabu interchange around 9:40am on Wednesday and went through checking by police personnel at the interchange.
A case of Johar Town bomb blast has also been registered in CTD Lahore police station on the complaint of SHO Abid Baig. The FIR includes 7ATA, 3/4 Explosives Act, 302, 324, 148/149 and other serious provisions.
Three unidentified terrorists were also named in the FIR. The FIR text stated that the terrorists used vehicles and motorcycles in their operations. The explosion killed 3 people and injured 21 others.
