BAGHDAD: Two Iraqi security officials said a barrage of rockets hit Camp Taji, the second time the base, which houses US-led coalition troops was attacked this week.
The officials spoke Saturday on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.
Three soldiers, including two Americans, were killed when the base was attacked on Wednesday, the deadliest attack on U.S. forces in Iraq since a missile attack on a base in late December. It killed American contractors and launched a series of severe repressions. Iraq was on the brink of war as a result of the attack.
In retaliation, the United States launched a series of air strikes on a militia base in southern Iraq, killing five Iraqi security forces and a civilian.
