Iran supreme leader casts first ballot in presidential vote

Tehran: A reporter from the Agence France-Presse said that Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei voted for the presidential election in Tehran on Friday, officially opening a poll.

According to the authorities, nearly 60 million eligible voters can vote before midnight (1930 GMT). The voting time may be extended by two hours, and the result is expected to be around noon on Saturday.
