Islamabad: The Inter-Provincial Conference of Ministers of Education (IPEMC) will be held on January 4 to make a decision on the opening of schools in the country after the second Covid-19 wave.
The meeting will be chaired by the Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood. All provincial education ministers will attend the meeting. The meeting will discuss the country’s surge in coronavirus cases and the opening of educational institutions.
The meeting will also consider reducing winter and summer vacations. In addition, the new 2020-21 school year will be considered starting in August 2021, and the national education policy will also be considered.
The Ministry of Education has issued a notice in this regard, stating that the 25th Inter-provincial Education Ministers’ Meeting will be held at 11.30 in the morning through a video link. The meeting will be chaired by the Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood.
