Islamabad: The Provincial Education Ministers’ Meeting (IPEMC) will be held today (Monday) to make a decision on the reopening of educational institutions in the country that have been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Federal Minister of Education and Vocational Training Shafqat Mahmood will chair the meeting to discuss the reopening of schools in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP). The Minister of Education and other senior officials will attend the meeting.
The meeting will make a decision on the opening of educational institutions in the country.
After the officials of the Ministry of Health gave a detailed briefing at the meeting, the recommendations on resuming institutional activities will be sent to the National Coordinating Committee (NCC).
The Chairman and Executive Director of the Higher Education Committee will also attend the meeting. The six-point agenda of the meeting has been released. SOPs related to educational institutions will be finalized.
The conference will discuss short academic courses and exams in 2021, as well as the BECS and NCHD transition plans.
