Islamabad: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid told the media on Tuesday that India’s Interior Minister had issued an “irresponsible” statement saying that Pakistan had sent militants to India-occupied Kashmir through the Line of Control (LoC).
On Sunday, the Foreign Office had released a statement denying India’s allegations citing it was “impossible for anything to cross the Line of Control to enter IOJK”.
The Minister of the Interior held a press conference today at the headquarters of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and answered several questions.
Rashid categorically rejected the statement of the Indian Minister of the Interior, saying that Pakistan was not behind the invasion of occupied Kashmir.
The minister said that Pakistan sympathizes with the people of occupied Kashmir. He clarified that the country cannot be hurt from the border, adding that the country’s enemies want to hurt Pakistan from within.
