New Delhi: Former US President Barack Obama’s revelation of Indian state terrorism caused an uproar in India. Obama uncovered Indian conspiracy and state terrorism in his book “The Promised Land”.
A lawyer in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has filed a suit against the the former president of the United States for defaming the Indian leaders and hurting the sentiments of his followers.
Gyan Prakash Shukla, national president of All India Rural Bar Association, filed the civil suit in a civil court which has been scheduled for hearing on December 1.
To recall, Obama had revealed India’s anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan sentiments in his book and highlighted the Hindu fanaticism and extremism in India. He also talked about the rampant hunger, corruption and religious intolerance in the country.
The former president of the United States emphasized hostilities against Pakistan in order to achieve national unity in India, and also mentioned his meeting with former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh during his visit to Pakistan in November 2010. He was told that it is not difficult for Indian politicians to use religion and ethnic division to seek their own benefits.
