Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan completed an interview with the next Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
Barrister Sultan, Khawaja Farooq, Tanveer Ilyas and Azhar Sadiq met with the Prime Minister respectively.
The source said that Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the candidates their views on tourism, hydropower, minerals, health, education and development. All four candidates shared their priorities for Azad Kashmir.
In an interview with the media, AJK Chairman’s Barrister Sultan Mahmoud stated that there is no number game and everyone is united, adding that PM Imran Khan has the right to make a decision.
On the other hand, Chaudhry Tanveer Illyas said that consultation underway in the party on special seats, adding that decision for Speaker, Deputy Speaker and other posts is yet to be made. He said they will fulfill the responsibilities given to him by the party chairman.
At the same time, Khawaja Farooq stated that various issues and special seats were held in consultation with the party chairman. He said that work in the tourism industry and other sectors needs to be carried out in AJK. Khawaja Farooq also expressed the hope that Prime Minister Imran Khan will deliver a speech in the Legislative Assembly on August 5.
