Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will listen to a petition from the federal government asking the court to approve the announcement of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in two major UK newspapers.
According to the details, the attorney general made a request on the IHC, asking the court to allow Nawaz Sharif’s subpoena to be published in British newspapers.
Earlier, the IHC provided the former prime minister and PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif (Mian Nawaz Sharif) with one last chance and appeared in court on November 24.
Chamber judges, including Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, issued an order stating that Nawaz Sharif should be notified to appear in court through advertisements in Urdu and English newspapers.
According to the order, the advertisement should also be sent to the UK through the High Commission. In addition, advertisements should also be printed in the London edition of Urdu and English newspapers at the expense of the federal government.
The decision stated that the court had no choice but to file a lawsuit and declare Nawaz Sharif a fugitive. It ordered the federal government to submit advertising costs to the High Court within a week.
