Karachi: According to a daily briefing by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday, Covid killed 23 patients in Sindh, the highest number of casualties since the third Covid wave. He said that 719 new cases were reported within 24 hours.
In his Covid briefing, CM Murad Ali Shah said that since the outbreak of new cases today, the province has so far reported 299,896 Covid-19 infections since the outbreak of the virus.
In terms of the death toll, due to the complications caused by the Albatross 19 (Covid-19) and the virus, Sindh has admitted to today’s death toll in the past 24 hours, and 4,824 people have died in the province so far.
CM Murad further stated that due to Covid, there are currently 53 patients receiving medical assistance from ICU ventilator.
For the breakdown of all infections reported today, he said 374 (approximately 52%) belonged to Karachi.

It may be worth noting that today Punjab reported 44 new coronavirus (Covid-19) deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the provincial statistics to 9,411.
According to data from the first and second medical departments, 1,700 fresh infections were detected in the same period, and the number of confirmed cases reached 327,362.
