The special court on Thursday announced detailed judgments about betrayal against Musharraf. The court ordered that if the deceased is found, his convicted body was dragged to D-Chowk in Islamabad and hanged for three days.
The special court with three members, headed by Supreme Court Waqar Ahmad Seth of the Peshawar High Court, announced the verdict on Thursday. Of the three judges, Judge Seth and Karim were sentenced to death, while Judge Nazalala Akbar disputed that the prosecution could not prove a betrayal.
The 169-page verdict states that the prosecution has not effectively defended the case and has provided insufficient evidence to prove the former chief of staff. In his verdict, the court announced that Musharraf would be sentenced to death on various grounds.
The judgment stated that the documents submitted by the court clearly stated that Musharraf was guilty of treason. It mentioned that Musharraf had an equal opportunity to defend his case, while the prosecution demanded the highest punishment for the perpetrator in the case of treason.
The verdict stated that uniformed officers participated equally and fully in the actions and actions of the suspect.
