Lahore: On Wednesday, heavy monsoon rain hit Lahore and other parts of the country, making the weather pleasant.
Pouring rain everywhere flooded the roads and streets of Lahore, the provincial capital, and commuters face great difficulties when trying to continue their daily activities.
Due to the heavy rain in Lahore that started on Wednesday night, several branches of the Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) tripped, leaving half of the city in darkness.
Rain was also reported in other parts of the country including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Joharabad, Khushab, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Kasur, Jhang, Bhakkar, Sheikhupura, Nankana, Chiniot and other cities . Meanwhile, Met Office has predicted more rain during next 24 hours.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, strong monsoon currents are penetrating Pakistan that will produce widespread rains during next three to four days in the country.
